What is the correct emulsion scoop coater size that I should use?
Generally, here is an example guideline.
14 Inch - Use this size for coating 18" x 20" screens.
16 Inch - Use this size for coating 20" x 24" screens.
18 Inch - Use this size for coating 23" x 31" screens.
20 Inch - Use this size for coating 25" x 36" screens.
Always order a scoop coater 1" larger than the area you are coating with liquid. For instance, a 10" scoop coater covers a 9" liquid coating area. Your coating area should be 2" (1" on each side) larger than your copy or print area. Thus, for the best result, the scoop coater is a total of 3" larger than your printer area. Just a reminder, to have scoop coaters work best please clean the coating edge each time after use.
